Christmas, whatever your religion and wherever you live, has an effect on most of us and makes us think more about others and how we can help them. No matter who those people are, this time of year is often the one time they get the support and help they need, but that shouldn’t be the case.

As an organization, we at Metacube have always looked to help out our communities across the world, often using our technical expertise to help organizations become more efficient with their IT. However, sometimes it is people these organizations need and not the expertise, and with the large team we have both in India and the UK we are often able to provide the manpower to help where needed. This is part of our makeup as business and core to our values, but it is not just as a business that we help, our staff also are involved and can help on an individual as well as corporate basis. The feelgood factor for them is huge, helping motivate the team not just when they are helping communities but also in their normal work.

Giving back to others means we all benefit, from those that need the help to those that give the help, but this should not just be at Christmas. Of course, the support at this time of the year is just as important, but people need help all year round, so for us we will always look to help and use our skills and resource to give that help.

CSR is not just for Christmas, it is for life, and if like Metacube a business puts CSR at the heart of everything they do, the business will see many benefits in the long term.
