Covid 19 has caused an untold devastation especially in the 2nd wave that has hit us in India. People we care for have left us or their loved ones have left them leaving behind pain and suffering. 

Yet amongst the loss also stands out stories of victory – people in their own battles with the virus, medical heroes fighting tirelessly against an invisible enemy and companies doing everything possible to assist as they can in all of this.

At Metacube, we have always stood for our people and this time again we extended unwavering support. As part of that journey we undertook various measures.

Employee Safety

• We instituted a free vaccine drive for all employees
• The drive would be extended to their family members as we get more vaccines
• Reimbursement to employees getting vaccinated from non Metacube sources
• Covid Angels 24×7 Helpline that tracks, monitors and assists in all health and covid related issues including access to medical assistance and hospitalization. Team also manages a constantly updated database of verified and critical information whether that’s about beds availability, medicines, usage, meal providers and so on.
• We went into Work-From-Home (WFH) mode in March 2020 and continue to be in it this year

 

Medical Assistance

• Oxygen concentrators made available to employees and their family members in case of any emergency in the city of Jaipur
• 24×7 teleconsultation with panel of expert doctors for any Covid or health related queries
• Emergency evacuation of any of our employees who are outside of Jaipur and need medical assistance. We have tie-ups with some of the best hospitals in Jaipur and would continue to get our employees access to those facilities including oxygen beds and ICU facilities.
• Medicine assistance for employees

 

Employee Care

• Financial support to the family of the employee who succumbed to COVID and in such scenario committing to shoulder the education expenses of the children
• Providing job opportunity to the dependant family member at Metacube

 

Community Assistance

• Extending medical assistance including free vaccination to all indirect and contract staff and their family members as well

We are still not out of the woods though. We have a long battle ahead as we get more and more people vaccinated. But from everything that we have witnessed from 2020 till now, we are more positive about tomorrow and us winning the battle against Covid.

And if you want to help anyone out there in their own fight against Covid, then ask them to get vaccinated. Spread positivity as we have a lot of negativity currently around us. It impacts people. We are not asking not to share news. But please be cognizant that negative news takes an emotional toll on people. Positive disposition is critical at this time to maintain a healthy body. Because a healthy mind leads to a healthy body.
